GA's construction

GA Entreprise is GA’s general contracting company. Its area of expertise covers all phases from the design to the handover of a turn-key building.

GA Entreprise’s strength lies in the skill of its personnel, which includes a high percentage of engineers, and in its use of building processes that are optimized with every new building project. Developed by the group’s Research and Development department, these processes enable GA to design and construct buildings consistently and homogeneously. Our products and processes have been proven efficient; this is why, without incurring any significant additional cost, GA Entreprise’s buildings are always certified with the green building labels HQE® and BBC.

Arte Charpentier, Atelier 115, Anthony Béchu, Jean-Philippe le Covec, Jean-Paul Viguier and Aymeric Zublena are just a few of the well-known architects who have demonstrated their confidence in GA and have designed and built buildings in partnership with GA Entreprise.

For decades GA Entreprise has set the standard in commercial property. Now geared strongly towards the production of green office buildings with High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification, it has become a leader in office building production throughout France.

Equipment

GA, the specialist in commercial property, stands out from its competitors by its range of features that add comfort and security. Since the late 1980s GA has been ceaselessly designing, developing and improving the efficiency, in particular the energy efficiency, of heating, lighting and other apparatuses. Today GA’s comfort-enhancing equipment is grouped together under the trademark GAPEO®. It encompasses:

  • An air handling apparatus, the GA reverse-cycle S9 heat pump, which performs the functions of heating, cooling, dual-flow hygienic ventilation and free cooling, supplying just the right amount of energy required to meet the final user’s needs as closely as possible.
  • Free-standing light fittings by Gadelune, equipped with electronic dimmers and detectors that adjust automatically depending on the amount of natural light available.
  • The DB20061 window, equipped with triple glazing and integrated motorized blinds that improve both thermal and visual comfort
  • A hardware key that allows users to remotely control all these devices
  • Centralized Technical Management (CTM), which communicates with all the equipment in order to transmit information such as operating status and energy consumption to the monitoring station in real time
  • A web site that communicates with the CTM, enabling authorized users to check their building’s detailed energy consumption, broken down by usage : HVAC , lighting, etc.

Engineering studies

GA's Engineering studies

GA integrates and masters all the stages of construction, from preliminary design to handover. This includes engineering studies, factory production, on-site assembling, and mechanical & electrical and fittings & finishings work packages.

The project manager, benefitting from considerable knowledge-building, is an experienced technician who drafts projects specific to each user.

Relying on a technical and financial library of tried and tested solutions, the fruit of extensive experience, the Oméga engineering and design office draws up the design and production documents. It is the keystone of technical knowledge and validates every new development.

The production units and the works department give concrete form to the construction based on the project manager’s technical specifications and those of Oméga. The construction engineer and the project manager are the main contact persons every step of the way, from the preliminary design right up to the final handover.

For over 40 years GA has been developing industrialized building processes. Having the components factory-manufactured avoids exposure to uncertain weather conditions and building site nuisances and guarantees reliable, resistant constructions with very short lead times.

GA's INTERTEC frameworks

INTERTEC frameworks:

Intertec structural frameworks consist of pre-stressed concrete frame elements assembled on site by housed joints by means of mechanical connectors. They are guaranteed to withstand earthquakes and fire. The frameworks make for a flexible layout grid that can measure up to 30 m x 20 m.

LEIGA and TRIDAL frameworks:

GA's LEIGA and TRIDAL frameworks

These systems allow us to build multi-storey buildings by means of slabs lying either on a system of posts and lintels or fitted directly onto posts with no dropped girders, thus making it easier to route utilities in the ceiling and optimizing ceiling height in the upper floors.

These frameworks enable us to build large floor plates without intermediary load-bearing walls.

The slabs have perfectly flat tops and undersides, so floor coverings (or raised floors) can be put in directly and acoustic slabs can be glued right on to the ceiling. This improves sound insulation between adjacent premises and provides greater protection against the spread of fire.

GA's Architectural façades

Our façades are made of natural materials such as architectural concrete and brick slips, and are guaranteed to be sturdy and long-lasting. They come in a wide range of facings including polishing and inlaying, with high-quality finishing produced in our factories. The self-cleaning natural materials make upkeep easy.

thermal inertia

The thermal insulation is perfectly protected by the concrete of the facing with no risk of a break and is safe from air infiltrations, unlike façades created by insulating wall panels (e.g., clamped stone or added cladding)

The continuity of the insulation between the different levels of a building ensures a perfect thermal insulation of the floors.

Aside from the façade cladding, the mass of the building’s concrete is inside the insulation, providing strong thermal inertia and good acoustic insulation from outside noise.
